Welcome to the North West Group. Our area covers Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside. We welcome new members of all age groups and levels of experience who are interested in supporting the conservation of gardens and garden plants. Members receive twice-yearly copies of the Plant Heritage Journal from the Central Office and our own local journals.
Members can also participate in the Plant Exchange scheme, offering plants which are rarely - if ever - found in nurseries. Members can also become involved in the Plant Guardian Scheme.
Throughout the year we aim to have workshops, occasional visits to collections, and trips to interesting gardens or nurseries.
We also have plant stalls at a range of events including NGS open days and an annual sale at Holehird Gardens, Windermere. We support 25 National Plant Collections in a variety of locations from private gardens to those open to the public.
