Everything you always wanted to know about slugs & snails but were afraid to ask

Dr Gordon Port is a Senior Lecturer at Newcastle University, specialising in invertebrate feeding behaviour and ecology.  His interest in the food seeking behaviour of slugs is therefore of particular interest to us as gardeners and specialists in threatened plants.  We look forward to an explanation of this photograph of Limacus maculatus!
