Visit to Hill View

Visit to Hill View by kind invitation of Mellie Lewis.

Please book by Monday 4th August.

This is a chance to visit the Reference National Collection of Aeonium species, cultivars and interspecific hybrids held by Mellie who will give us an introductory talk. After refreshments in the garden, we will go on to Trinity Hospital Almshouses and Gardens, this is a lovely garden in a beautiful setting with a small Chapel and allotments dating back hundreds of years. It’s in the next road and a short walk from the house.

Directions: The house is on the B4368 which is the road from Craven Arms to Clun. Entering Clun from this direction brings you directly on to the High Street. The house is on the right-hand side next to the bus stop. There is a National Collection plaque on the gatepost, see the picture below. There is no dedicated parking at the house, but there may be places in the street outside. Otherwise, please park at Clun Memorial Hall
(marked by an orange arrow on the map below) which is signposted just before the house (if coming from Craven Arms) up Ford Street and is a 5-minute walk away, postcode SY78NY. There is also a car park at Clun Castle which has public toilets and a café.
