Visit
Visit to Ashwood Nurseries
A self-guided visit of John Massey’s private garden, behind Ashwood Nurseries, which is renowned for its work on hellebore breeding.
Less well known is his work with the wonderful spring flowering genus of Hepatica. John received a Gold Medal at Chelsea in 2016 for his Hepatica display. We hope to see the hepatica glasshouse in full flower, fingers crossed.
A member of staff will meet and greet our group at The Oss Box Kiosk situated adjacent to the car park at 1:55pm. We'll have a short introduction to the garden and can then browse at our leisure, gardeners will be available to answer any questions.
Snacks, lunches and home-made cakes are available in the tea room which is open from 9.30am-4.15pm.
Directions: The nursery is located on a country lane known as ‘Ashwood Lower Lane’, approached directly off the A449, a brown tourism directional sign for Ashwood Nurseries and Tea Room is situated on the A449 for the turning into Ashwood Lower Lane. What3words///scorpions.inclines.notes
