Visit to a Private Garden in West Sussex

The garden rests in the rolling fields of the South Downs, consisting of 8 acres of herbaceous borders, lawns, water features and woodland, sympathetically divided by sculptured hedges and topiaries, old buildings and ancient trees. At its heart is a working walled garden, approximately one and a half acres in size and filled with flowers, fruit and vegetables. The garden was sensitively redesigned in 2006 by Arne Maynard and has since been further developed and maintained by head gardener Ben Pope and his team.
