The Plant Collector by Philip Oostenbrink - a Zoom talk
In this talk Philip Oostenbrink, the Head Gardener at Walmer Castle, discusses
what started his obsession with plants, which ultimately led to having
several (National) Plant Collections. From the age of 4 he started
collecting Sempervivum and cacti. Nowadays his taste goes more towards
jungle plants with the emphasis on foliage. Philip will show a range of
plants he is obsessed with, including the confession of how much a very
expensive variegated fig turned out to be! This talk is for everyone who is
interested in the more unusual plants.
