Summer Social Evening

Members and guests are cordially invited to an evening social event.  There will be no charge, but donations towards drinks will be welcome and everyone is asked to bring one plate of food.

Many thanks to Ruth and Ian Hollingshead for kindly agreeing to host this event in their large garden, which has an uninterrupted view of Leckhampton Hill and is regularly visited by a diverse range of wildlife. Originally a classic rectangular lawn with straight borders around the outside, the garden was substantially renovated in 2022 ready for the wedding of Ruth and Ian's elder son, with Ian doing much of the hard landscaping work and Ruth overseeing the planting, making use of existing trees and shrubs to create a mature garden.  The result is a relaxing, insect and wildlife friendly space, bright with jewel colours, making the perfect setting for a summer's evening.
