Rosa ‘The Doctor’ (HT)


Description:

Bred by Frederick Huber Howard (USA 1936) from a cross between ‘Mrs J.D. Eisele’ × ‘Los Angeles’.  Large medium pink blooms throughout the season with a strong fragrance. 1938 RNRS Gold Medal. Named for Dr Jean Henri Nicolas (b. Lille, France 1875- d. USA 1937) hybridist for Jackson & Perkins and author. Recognised as a renowned rosarian he was awarded a Doctor of Natural Science degree in recognition of his work.
