US plant patent 20,992 records this plant as selected by Henricus Cornelius Maria Jacobs, Rijsenhout, The Netherlands, for Van Zanten Plants. The introduction is described as discovered and selected in June 2002 as a single flowering specimen from a group of the cultivar ‘Staprivina’ raised under protected and controlled growing conditions.  Selected for good garden performance with large salmon orange-coloured flowers and upright vigorous growth.
