Description:

First published in 1839, this small species is native to Central and northern South America, including some of the Caribbean and Leeward islands. It is a hot to cool growing epiphytic orchid which grows in wet montane forest habitats between 190m and 2300m in elevation. The flowers are small, yellow-orange and sweetly fragrant.
