Hedera helix ‘Russelliana’


Description:
Candelabra Ivy, an erect non-climbing form, often growing as a single stem to 60cm before branching into a candelabra form. Needs support and can reach 1.5-1.8m in height. Peter Rose, in The Plantsman Vol 8, 1986 describes this cultivar as existing pre-WWII grown by L.R. Russell Ltd, Windlesham, Surrey. It was subsequently re-discovered by Stephen Taffler (President of the British Ivy Society) growing in a neglected garden.
