Description:
The species is described by Kew Plants of the World online as having a native range of Indian Subcontinent to S. China and Papua New Guinea, and was first published in n Gen. Sp. Orchid. Pl.: 31 (1830). It is a pseudobulbous epiphyte or lithophyte, growing primarly in the wet tropical biome(s).
