Veronica ‘Dark Angel’ (H)


Synonym: Hebe ‘Dark Angel’

Description:

Described by the Hebe Society as a chance seedling found at Bransford Webbs and was introduced in 2006. Hebe ‘Sapphire’ is similar but blooms later. This upright, bushy evergreen shrub grows to 24 inches (60 cm) in height and width in 4 years. Its narrow, spear-shaped leaves are mid-green with reddish edges on new growth, turning deep reddish in winter. It produces lilac-mauve flowers from spring to early summer.
