Plant Guardians

Symphyotrichum novae-angliae ‘Röter Stern’

Synonym: Aster novae-angliae ‘Röter Stern’

Description:

Our earliest record suggests it was listed for sale prior to 1989. Thought to be introduced by Karl Foerster (1874-1970), pre-1954.  Foerster was renowned plant breeder and garden designer who established his nursery in Bornim in 1912 and introduced over 370 new cultivars, many of which were to become part of his designs based on all year around interest and low maintenance.
