Description:
Our earliest known record dates to 1987 as offered by then National Collection Holders of Aster, Isabel Allen & Joy Huish of Belmont House, Tyntesfield, who had been collecting asters since the 1940s. Aster 'Silver Queen' described as an early variety with large silvery grey flowers was selected and introduced by Daisy Hill Nursery, Co. Down c.1905, it is unconfirmed if this refers to the same plant.
