Description:
Recorded as raised and named by Backhouse 1925. Robert Ormston Backhouse (1854-1940) and his wife Sarah Elizabeth Backhouse (nee Dodgson) (1857-1921) had moved to Sutton Court, Herefordshire in 1886. Both were renowned breeders of daffodils and Mrs Backhouse had raised the Backhouse Group of lily hybrids in the early 1890s.
