Plant Guardians

Galanthus elwesii var. monostictus ‘Miller's Late’

Synonym: Galanthus caucasicus ‘Miller's Late’

Description:
One of the latest snowdrops to flower - into March or even April. Said to come from the garden of the late snowdrop collector Primrose Warburg. Her extensive contacts with fellow enthusiasts filled her garden on the outskirts of Oxford with choice specimens. At the time of her death, it was being maintained by Oxford Botanic Garden, who distributed the plants to other galanthophiles.
