Description:

Introduced prior to 1904 by William Baylor Hartland (1836-1912) of Árd Cairn House, Ballintemple, Cork. Hartland, a third-generation horticulturist, was a significant daffodil collector and breeder who began collecting old cultivars of daffodils in the early 1880s, many of which were found in old Irish gardens.  Hartland initially established a 10-acre nursery at Temple Hill, Cork before moving to Árd Cairn House some years later.
