Plectranthus ernstii
Description:
Recorded in The South African Plectranthus, (van Jaarsveld, 2006) as being first collected in 1979 on the lip of Oribi Gorge by Ernst & Erma van Jaarsveld and named for Ernst van Jaarsveld, horticulturist at the Kirstenboscch National Botanical Garden. Known to be a variable species with whitish to light mauve flowers. Four forms have been selected and introduced as cultivars. Performs well as a potted specimen and is often grown as a 'bonsai' subject.
