Narcissus ‘Unique’ (4) AGM


Description:
Double flowered daffodil, introduced by Joseph Lionel Richardson (1890-1961) of Westcliffe, Tramore, Co. Waterford. A renowned breeder for whom a ‘chance pollinated seed on 'Mary Copeland'’ saw the beginnings of his work on breeding double flowered forms. Lionel had great success as an exhibitor, winning many RHS Gold medals and winning the prestigious Engleheart Cup numerous times. His wife Nell (Helen) continued the business after his death in 1961. Awarded AGM in 2002.
